A fan has a fantasy about a cruel doctor and asked the author to write this story of her pain and humiliation. |

Giving a ten to compensate on the rather ludicrous rating of hyphen666. The latter clearly didn't read (or understand) the synopsys. I myself found the story to be a true delight. Written in sparse, to the point phrases, like a child would use sometimes. The direct approach works wonderfully well; the musings and thoughts of Karen, evenso the actions of the Doc and his nurse have this flamboyant air that you, as a reader, take for granted, because it fits the tone of the story. Anyway, if I should have been that fan, I surely would have been delighted with the result. I'm not that fan and am still delighted. JJ (10/10)

I enjoyed the story and the medical scene. Plus I have a soft spot for happy endings. (8/10)

Considering that this is supposed to be the most recent of Allene's stories, it is a disappointment, almost a regression. The story sounds like something that the teenaged Allene might have written, complete with references to courage and the quick, sappy, happy ending. (4/10)
